Passing Scores:
- FAST NU's admission is based on merit, which takes into account your academic record and your score in the admission test.
- There isn't a fixed "passing score" for the admission test. Candidates are ranked based on their combined merit score, and admissions are offered to those who rank highest until all seats are filled.
- The merit calculation typically gives weightage to:
- Admission Test Score: Usually has a significant weightage (e.g., 50%).
- HSSC/Equivalent Marks: (e.g., 35%).
- SSC/Equivalent Marks: (e.g., 15%).
- For specific programs like BS Electrical Engineering and BS Civil Engineering, there might be minimum percentage requirements in SSC/equivalent (e.g., 60%) and HSSC Pre-Engineering/equivalent (e.g., 60%).
- For programs like BBA and BS Accounting & Finance, the minimum requirement in SSC and HSSC is usually 50%.
Test Format:
- The FAST admission test is a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The duration of the test is typically 2 hours (120 minutes), but this can vary slightly.
- There is negative marking for incorrect answers, so it's important to answer carefully.
- The test format and syllabus vary depending on the undergraduate program you are applying for and your academic background:
- For BS Computer Science (BS CS) and BS Electrical Engineering (BS EE):Analytical Skills/IQ (20%)

The sections and the order in which questions appear can be randomized for each candidate. You can usually navigate between questions within a section and review your answers before submitting. Calculators are generally not allowed.
