 Conduct Date (NUST Entry Test - NET): NUST conducts the undergraduate admission test in multiple series throughout the year.

  2. Series-2 (Quetta): February 27th - 28th, 2025
  3. Series-2 (Karachi): February 22nd - 24th, 2025
  4. Series-3 (Islamabad & other cities): April 5th, 2025 onwards
  5. Series-4 (Islamabad): June 15th, 2025 onwards
  6. Series-4 (Quetta): July 26th - 27th, 2025
  7. Series-4 (Karachi): July 17th - 20th, 2025
  8. Series-4 (Gilgit): July 19th - 20th, 2025
  9. Last Date to Receive ACT/SAT Scores: July 20th, 2025 (for those applying based on these tests).

Test Format (NUST Entry Test - NET)

The NUST Entry Test (NET) is conducted in multiple series each year and can be either Computer Based (CBNET) or Paper Based (PBNET), depending on the test center. The format generally includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from the following sections, with varying weightage depending on the program you are applying for and your academic background:

  •  Engineering Programs (Pre-Engineering/ICS/Pre-Medical with Additional Math background):Mathematics: 40-50%
  • Physics: 30-35%
  • Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology (depending on the stream): 15-20%
  • English: 10-20%
  • Intelligence: 5-10%
  • Applied Biosciences (Pre-Medical background):Biology: 40-50%
  • Chemistry: 30-35%
  • Physics: 15-20%
  • English: 10-20%
  • Intelligence: 5-10%
  • Business Studies & Social Sciences (Any background):Quantitative (Mathematics): 40-50%
  • English: 40-50%
  • Intelligence: 10-20%
  • Architecture and Design (Pre-Engineering or equivalent):Design Aptitude: 40-50%
  • Mathematics: 20-30%
  • Physics: 10-20%

  1. Total MCQs: The total number of MCQs can vary but is often around 200.
  2. Duration: Typically 3 hours.
  3. Negative Marking: Generally, there is no negative marking in the NUST Entry Test.
  4. Syllabus: The syllabus for the NET is primarily based on the FSc (Intermediate) level curriculum of relevant subjects.
