NUTECH does not specify a fixed "passing score" in the traditional sense. Instead, they use a combination of your NUET score and your previous academic record (SSC/O Level and HSSC/A Level/Equivalent/DAE) to calculate your merit. A higher score in NUET gives you a better chance of securing admission. The merit weightage is typically:
- NUTECH Entry Test: 70%
- HSSC/A Level/Equivalent/DAE: 20%
- SSC/O Level/equivalent: 10%
Test Format:
The NUET is usually a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based test with a duration of 3 hours (for the computer-based test, there might be two sessions). The test is compiled from the textbooks prescribed for HSSC courses. The subject weightages generally are:
- Math: 40%
- Physics: 30%
- Chemistry/Computer Science (depending on the program): 20%

Apply Process:
- Visit the NUTECH Website: Go to http://nutech.edu.pk/ and navigate to the "Admissions" section.
- Online Registration: Click on the "Online Registration" link and create an account by providing a valid email address.
- Fill the Application Form: Log in with your credentials and fill out the online application form with accurate personal and academic information.
- Upload Documents: You will need to upload scanned copies of required documents, which typically include:
- Original SSC/Equivalent Certificate and detailed Marks Sheet
- Original HSSC/Equivalent Certificate and detailed Marks Sheet
- Attested photocopy of CNIC or Form B and attested photocopy of CNIC of father/guardian
- Six passport-size colored photographs, duly attested
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- NUTECH Entry Test (NUET) or SAT Subject test Score Card (if applicable)
- Generate and Pay Fee Challan: After filling the form, you will need to generate a fee challan and pay the application processing fee (usually around PKR 2000) through the specified bank (HBL).
- Upload Paid Fee Challan: After depositing the fee, you might need to upload a scanned copy of the paid challan on the portal.
- Submit the Application: Review all the information and submit the online application form before the deadline.
- Download Roll Number Slip: If you are appearing for the NUET, you will be able to download your roll number slip from the portal a few days before the test date.
- Appear for the Test: Follow the instructions on your roll number slip and appear for the NUET at the designated center and time.
