Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria vary significantly depending on the specific degree program. Generally, for:

• Undergraduate Programs (Bachelor's and Associate Degrees): Candidates must have completed their Intermediate (FA/FSc/I.Com/ICS or equivalent) with a minimum percentage of marks as specified by the respective department. This is often around 45-50%, but can be higher for competitive programs.
• MS/MPhil Programs: A Bachelor's or Master's degree (depending on the program) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA (usually 2.50 out of 4.00 or equivalent percentage) is required. Many programs also require passing a subject-specific entry test (GAT General or departmental test) with a minimum score (often 60%).
• PhD Programs: An MS/MPhil or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA (usually 3.00 out of 4.00) is required. Candidates must also pass a subject-specific entry test (GAT Subject or departmental test or HAT Scholarship test) with a minimum score (often 70%).

Necessary Documents:

Generally, applicants are required to submit the following documents along with their application form:

• Scanned copies of academic transcripts/degrees (Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor's, Master's, as applicable).
• Scanned copy of CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) or B-Form.
• Recent passport-sized photograph.
• Scanned copy of domicile certificate (if applicable).
• Scanned copy of entry test result (if applicable).
• Paid copy of the admission processing fee voucher.
• For reserved seats, relevant certificates/nominations from the concerned authorities.
• Candidates applying for MS/MPhil/PhD who are employed need to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• SSC/HSSC certificates must be verified from IBCC within the first semester of admission.

Required Entrance Tests:

Entrance tests are compulsory for admission to most undergraduate and postgraduate programs at GCUF.

• Undergraduate Programs: GCUF conducts its own admission test. If a student has not appeared in the HEC USAT test, they must appear in the university's admission test. For some programs like Fine Arts, an aptitude test might also be required. For B.Sc. Engineering Technology programs, a designated testing HEI/entity test is usually required.
• MS/MPhil Programs: Candidates typically need to pass the GAT General test or a departmental admission test with a minimum of 60% marks. For LLM, GAT General or a departmental admission test is mandatory (Law GAT is not acceptable).
• PhD Programs: Candidates need to pass the GAT Subject test, HAT Scholarship test, or a departmental subject test with a minimum of 70% marks.

Complete Application Process:

The application process at GCUF is primarily online:

1. Create an Admission Account: Visit the GCUF admissions portal and create a new account by providing your CNIC/B-Form and date of birth.
2. Login to the Admission Portal: Use your CNIC and date of birth or CNIC and password to log in.
3. Update Personal Information: Check and update your personal details in the portal.
4. Upload Photograph: Upload a recent passport-sized photograph.
5. Apply for Test (if applicable): For undergraduate programs, click on the "Apply Engineering Test" tab (or similar) and select the test program.
6. Select Degree Programs: Choose the degree programs you wish to apply for according to your eligibility. You can usually apply for multiple programs.
7. Print Fee Voucher: Generate and print the fee voucher for the admission processing fee (and test fee, if applicable).
8. Pay the Fee: Submit the fee at the designated bank mentioned on the voucher.
9. Submit Application Form: After paying the fee, you might need to update the payment status on the portal. Carefully review all the information and submit the online application form before the deadline.
10. Print Application Form: After online submission, print the computer-generated application form.
11. Submit Hard Copy (if required): Attach the required documents (copies of transcripts, CNIC, fee voucher, etc.) with the printed application form and submit it to the GCUF Registration Branch within the specified dates. Note: Some processes might be entirely online, so check the latest instructions.
