Eligibility Criteria:
The general eligibility criteria are as follows, but specific requirements may vary per program and batch:
For Bachelor's Degree Programs (BE/BS):
- Academic Qualification:Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) (Pre-Engineering) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (excluding marks of Hifz-ul-Quran) for BE programs.
- For BS programs (like IT, CS, Mathematics, English), candidates who passed HSC (Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, and General Science with Mathematics) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (excluding marks of Hifz-ul-Quran) are generally eligible.
- Candidates who have passed Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in the relevant Technology from a Board of Technical Education Pakistan with at least 60% marks may also be eligible for specific reserved seats (often on a self-finance scheme).
- Candidates appearing in HSC-II examinations are often eligible to apply, but must submit their HSC-II marks certificate showing required marks after the results are announced.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit for admission to the BS program is generally 22 years. Relaxation may be granted in special circumstances by the Vice-Chancellor.
- Domicile: Candidates must possess domicile and PRC (Form C) of the relevant category. Specific reserved seats exist for various regions of Sindh (Sukkur Divisions, Larkano Divisions, District Shaheed Benazir Abad/Nawabshah).
- Pre-Admission Test: All eligible candidates are required to appear in an MCQ type (written) Pre-Admission Test and must obtain a minimum score of 40% marks.
For Postgraduate Programs (ME/MS, PhD):
- Academic Qualification: Generally, 18 years of field-related education from an HEC recognized university with at least a CGPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Entry Test: A minimum of 60% marks in the entry test for postgraduate programs.
Important Notes on Eligibility:
- Candidates who passed SSC-II Annual examination before a certain year (e.g., 2014 in previous admissions) might not be eligible. Always check the prospectus for the specific year.
- Grace marks given by the Board for improvement of Grade shall not be counted towards the aggregate marks for eligibility.
- Candidates previously admitted to any batch/year in the university are generally not eligible to apply again under the regular scheme, unless specified for self-finance.

Complete Application Process:
The application process for QUEST primarily involves an online system:
- Check Eligibility: Review the detailed eligibility criteria for your desired program on the official QUEST website.
- Access Online Application Portal: Go to the official online admission portal.
- Register an Account: If you are a new applicant, you will need to register an account using your CNIC/B-Form/Smart Card.
- Fill the Online Application Form: Carefully fill out the online application form with all required personal, academic, and contact details.
- Upload Documents: Scan and upload all necessary documents (mark sheets, domicile, PRC, CNIC, photographs, etc.) as specified by the university. Ensure the scanned documents are clear and meet the required format.
- Generate and Deposit Fee Challan: Print the application processing fee invoice/challan (e.g., Habib Bank Ltd. or Askari Bank Ltd.) and deposit the required fee at any designated branch.
- Upload Fee Challan: Upload the scanned copy of the deposited bank challan/invoice with your online application. Applications will not be entertained without this.
- Submit Application: Review all the entered information and uploaded documents before submitting your online application.
- Prepare for Pre-Admission Test: If applying for undergraduate programs, prepare for the MCQ-type written pre-admission test. Admit cards for the test will only be issued to eligible candidates who have secured the minimum aggregate marks.
- Appear in Pre-Admission Test: Attend the pre-admission test on the scheduled date and time.
- Check Merit List/Results: After the test, the university will announce merit lists.
