Eligibility Criteria:

General eligibility criteria for most undergraduate engineering programs include:

• A minimum of 50% marks in FSc (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent qualification (e.g., A-Levels with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
• For BS Computer Science and related programs, candidates with FSc (Pre-Engineering), FSc (Pre-Medical with Mathematics as an additional subject), ICS, or equivalent qualifications are usually eligible. Some programs might have specific subject requirements. For example, BS Software Engineering often requires Mathematics.
• Appearing in the UET ECAT is mandatory for admission to most engineering programs.
• Candidates must possess a valid domicile of Punjab for open merit seats. Different criteria may apply for reserved seats.

Necessary Documents:

Generally, you will need to upload scanned copies of the following documents during the online application process:

• Your CNIC/B-Form or Passport.
• Your recent passport-sized photograph.
• Transcripts/Result cards of your SSC (Matriculation) or equivalent.
• Transcripts/Result cards of your HSSC (Intermediate) or equivalent (O/A Levels, IB Diploma, etc.). If awaiting results, you might need to provide Part 1/equivalent grades.
• Equivalence certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad, if your qualification is from a foreign board.
• Paid copy of the ECAT challan/token.
• Domicile certificate of Punjab (if applying on open merit).
• Other documents as specified in the admission guidelines for specific categories (e.g., for reserved seats).

Application Start and End Dates:

• Registration for the Second ECAT for Fall 2025 admissions is currently open.
• The last date to apply for the Second ECAT is June 02, 2025.
• Applications for Fall 2025 undergraduate admissions (after the ECAT) are expected to open in the last week of June 2025. The specific closing date for these admissions will be announced later on the UET admission portal.

Complete Application Process:

The general application process involves the following steps:

1. Register for ECAT (if applicable): Generate and pay the ECAT challan, then fill out the online ECAT application form by the deadline (June 02, 2025 for the Second ECAT).
2. Apply for Undergraduate Admission (after ECAT):
   • Visit the UET admission portal (https://admission.uet.edu.pk/) when admissions open (expected in the last week of June 2025).
   • Register and create an account.
   • Fill out the online application form with your personal, academic, and ECAT (if applicable) details.
   • Select your preferred degree programs and campuses.
   • Upload scanned copies of all required documents.
   • Pay the admission processing fee (if applicable).
   • Submit the application before the deadline.
3. Merit List: UET will prepare merit lists based on your ECAT score (with a certain weightage), Intermediate/equivalent marks, and sometimes Matriculation marks. The merit calculation formula is usually detailed in the admission prospectus.
4. Seat Allocation: Seats will be allocated based on merit and your preferences.
5. Document Verification and Fee Submission: If your name appears on a merit list, you will need to visit the university for document verification and pay the admission fee within the specified time to secure your seat.
