Complete Application and Visa Process
The process for a Pakistani student involves two main stages: University Admission and Italian Visa/Pre-enrollment.
Stage 2: Pre-enrollment and Visa (Crucial Step for Visa)
Universitaly Pre-enrollment: Immediately after receiving the Admission Letter, you must apply for pre-enrollment on the Italian government's Universitaly portal. This is mandatory for obtaining a visa.
Visa Appointment: Once your pre-enrollment is validated by UniPd on Universitaly, you will book an appointment at the Italian Embassy/Consulate in Pakistan (e.g., Islamabad or Karachi, depending on jurisdiction).
Visa Documents: At the consulate, you must present the validated pre-enrollment summary, the Admission Letter, and:Proof of financial means: Approximately €6,079.45 per year (verify the current amount) to cover living expenses, shown via bank statements.
Proof of accommodation in Italy.
Health Insurance (minimum coverage of €30,000).
Original and legalized copies of your academic documents (HSSC, Bachelor's, etc.) with official translations.
Visa Issuance: Once the visa (Study Visa - National D type) is granted, you can travel to Italy.
Enrollment & Residence Permit: Upon arrival, you must finalize your University enrollment and apply for the Permit of Stay (Permesso di Soggiorno) at the local Post Office within 8 working days.
